Release Date Instructions
This tells them when the information contained in the release will be newsworthy. You should aim to get calendar releases out just before the deadline posted by the sources you are sending the listing t ( typically three weeks). You shoul dcheck the deadline for each sonews source you are sending to.

More than just your title, this explains what your event is.

Make the focus of the event clear, but don't leave out the juicy bits that might get the undecided there.

The inagural event will have dozens of equipment distributors who can show you how to go from 250 to 110, or from a 13 to a 2 and from a 9 to a 10.
When
Start and end times!

Instructions
If there are special times within your event that might influence when people to come, include them here.
Example
Saturday October 2, 1-5 pm. Demonstrations run continuously; a schedule is available at WeMakeYouBuff.com. Ms. Body Universe, Dawn T Care will be signing autographs between 2 and 3.
Where
They need to know where your event is if they're going to come!

Instructions
Include more than the address; if the facility has a name use that; if there are well known landmarks nearby include them; if it's not absoultely clear from the nature of the event whether it's inside or out, tell them; and if your event uses only part of the facility, make it clear where you will be.

Why
Who will benefit from the event and how will they benefit?

Consider both attendees and non-attendess in describing the benefits.
